Dawn McIntosh Receives Phoenix Award

Meyers Nave congratulates Dawn McIntosh for receiving the Phoenix Award at the fall meeting of the ABA's Section on Environment, Energy and Resources held in Baltimore.

This award honors Dawn's work as the committee chair for the Energy and Natural Resources Litigation Committee to revitalize the committee. Dawn's tenure began in August 2008 and under her leadership, the committee has seen a rise in the number of members, elevated member activity and greater contribution to the national discourse on environmental and energy issues.

Dawn is an experienced environmental law attorney with in-depth knowledge in the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), water quality and water rights issues, regulatory compliance, the Endangered Species Act (ESA), complex land use litigation, constitutional law, civil rights claims, Fifth Amendment takings, and condemnation. Prior to joining Meyers Nave, Ms. McIntosh served as a senior legal advisor to the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Marine Fisheries Service and as a biologist for the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
