Margaret Rosequist

Overview

Margaret (Meg) Rosequist focuses her practice on trial and appellate work in both state and federal courts with an emphasis on complex First Amendment issues.

Prior to joining Meyers Nave, Meg was an associate with Fox & Sohagi where she handled cases involving procedural and substantive due process claims, equal protection causes of action, takings issues, First Amendment claims, and environmental claims. In addition, while an associate with the San Francisco firm Howard, Rice Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin and the Santa Monica firm O’Neill, Lysaght & Sun, Meg handled all aspects of litigation in cases involving trademark and copyright infringement, false advertising, breach of licensing agreements, theft of trade secrets, breach of contract, probate disputes, fraud and breach of trust claims, antitrust claims, federal RICO charges, and claims of professional malpractice.

During law school, Meg interned with the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office, served as a certified law student representing indigent clients at Hastings Civil Justice Clinic, and was a member of the Hastings International Law Review.

Before embarking on her legal career, Meg worked in film as an associate producer with a Bay Area based production company and as a project coordinator for a nonprofit film company in Harare Zimbabwe.
